Small wet loose avalanche activity continued on Saturday in steep south facing terrain. Avalanche activity is unlikely when there is a thick crust on the surface.
A widespread surface crust exists. It thins and becomes less supportive as you gain elevation.
A spotty surface hoar layer from early January is buried 50 to 100 cm. This layer has not produced recent avalanche activity. The remaining snowpack is generally well-bonded, with multiple crust layers present.
