Avalanche Summary

Snowpack Summary

Surface snow consists of settled powder snow in sheltered terrain and variable old wind-affected surfaces in wind-exposed terrain.

A widespread hard crust exists down roughly 40 to 60 cm. This crust appears to be effectively providing a bridge over a weak layer of surface hoar below.

Average snowpack depths at treeline are roughly 70 to 130 cm. Snow depths taper dramatically at lower elevations.
