Avalanche Summary

No recent avalanche activity has been reported.

If you are headed into the backcountry please consider submitting a MIN report.

Snowpack Summary

The snow surface is highly variable across elevations. In the alpine, small pockets of wind slab may be found in steep terrain at mountain tops where there is no crust. At treeline and below, exposed areas have a mix of crust and wind-affected snow, while sheltered terrain still holds soft snow.

The mid and lower snowpack are generally well-settled and bonded, with no layers of concern.

Terrain and Travel Advice

  • The snowpack is generally stable; it may be appropriate to step out into more complex terrain.
  • A hard crust on the snow surface will help strengthen the snowpack, but may cause tough travel conditions.
  • Use caution above cliffs and terrain traps where even small avalanches may have severe consequences.
