While conditions may be favorable for venturing into bigger terrain, use extra caution in steep, consequential terrain where a fall or small avalanche could have serious consequences.
No recent avalanche activity has been reported.
If you are headed into the backcountry please consider submitting a MIN report.
Surfaces continue to facet under generally cool and clear weather conditions. A crust is present on most south-facing terrain and lower elevations, while previously wind-affected surfaces can be found in exposed terrain. Small, isolated wind slabs may exist in high alpine terrain, particularly on steep slopes near mountain tops and ridge crests.
One or more layers of surface hoar and facets are found 10 to 40 cm deep.
The mid and lower snowpack is generally well-settled and bonded with no layers of concern.
