Continually assess conditions throughout the day.
Conditions will vary from aspect to aspect and from morning to afternoon.
Over the last 3 days a few size 1 skier triggered wind slabs have been reported. These Avalanches occurred at treeline or in the alpine near ridge crests.
Several small natural cornice falls were also reported, details on these avalanches are limited.
15 to 30 cm of recent snow sits over a crust/facet layer formed earlier this month. The snow surface is expected to become moist on sun exposed slopes during the day.
A widespread crust and facet layer from late January is buried 25 to 50 cm deep.
The mid to lower snowpack is generally well settled and strong. Snowpack depth ranges from 150 to 250 cm at treeline elevations.
