Avalanche Summary

There has been no avalanche activity reported in the past few days.

Snowpack Summary

Previous moderate to strong wind has heavily impacted the snow surface in exposed terrain at treeline and alpine elevations. At treeline and below a layer of surface hoar has formed on all aspects. In sheltered terrain, 20 to 40 cm of faceted snow overlies a layer of facets on top of a crust from late January.

A layer of facets on top of a crust from early December is buried approximately 70 to 110 cm deep. This layer is generally not a concern in this region at this time.
