Skiers near Cypress reported one small avalanche in this MIN post on Thursday.

During the storm, large, natural and human triggered avalanches can be expected.

Snowpack Summary

20 to 50 cm is expected by end of day Saturday at upper elevations. This snow will be transported by strong south winds, building reactive cornices and slabs on lee slopes.

Above 1000 m, this snow falls on about 60 cm of previous storm snow, which is reportedly well bonded to the well-settled snowpack below. Below 1000 m, there has been mixed rain and snow, making for moist snow surface conditions
