On Sunday, no new avalanches were reported at the time of publishing.
On Saturday, explosive-controlled storm slabs up to size 1.5 were reported in the Fernie area. Cornices are overhanging and may be reactive.
Snowpack Summary
Sunday night's snow will add to Saturday's 10 cm that sits on surface hoar which has been seen on all aspects and elevations. A thick rain crust now buried 30 to 40 cm deep seems to be well-bonded at lower elevations, but may need more time to bond in the alpine.
Crusts and facets in the mid and lower snowpack can still be found in isolated pockets.
