No new avalanches were reported on Thursday.
On Wednesday, numerous explosive triggered storm slab avalanches up to size 2 were reported at treeline and above on a variety of aspects.
10 to 20 cm of new snow brings recent snow totals to 50 to 70 cm. The recent snow and strong west winds have formed slabs overlying a 3 to 15 cm thick crust.
Below the crust, the snowpack is moist to the ground in most areas.
