Avalanche Summary

Increasing activity with rising temps, Use extra caution if the surface hasn't refrozen overnight - clear nights help. Watch for Wind Slabs in the alpine, particularly following snow or rain.

Snowpack Summary

When it comes to Summer avalanche danger, steep slopes can get dangerous if we see sudden and intense convective snow storms, rain, or intense sunshine warming things up.

Heads up on glaciers! As the snow thins out, keep an eye out for open crevasses and expect weak snow bridges that may not hold weight.
