Big Y Access Route

We put in the sled route to the bottom of the Big Y drainage on Sunday. New snow is deep (20-30 cm HST) and unusually dense. Temperatures were warm (-2 at 1050 m), and snow was falling S1-3 pretty much all day. Wind was non-existent in the trees, treeline elevation is scoured and thin on exposed ridges and benches with significant wind transport. No alpine obs given lack of visibility. Creeks are still very open, and deep and incised cracks make them tricky to see. HS is dense 160-190 cm. Great base.
