Beautiful day with light wind and even some patches of blue until later pm when the south wind picked up and heavier overcast rolled in. Lots of sled traffic in the western most chutes but snow quality remains good in most sheltered gully locations. Our travel away from tracks was limited but last night's new wind slab wasn't reactive in our little corner of the world. Stability tests gave moderate to hard resistant planar failures on a layer of preserved stellar (pretty snowflakes) down 30cm and under a wind slab. Good ski quality heading down, even if it was a short shot.
CTM(18), CTH(23) down 30cm on preserved stellar, below a 1F wind slab. The Dec 2 crust was down approximately 120cm at our test site.
