Did a couple laps on Cowboy Ridge this morning with excellent snow. Approx 100cm well-settled progressively resistant recent storm snow overlies the Dec 16 crust with total snow depth ranging 180cm-230cm. 1F-pencil windslabs up to 30cm deep in the lee just below ridge line. Spotted 8-9 recent small avalanches up to 1.5 both skier triggered and natural with crowns 10-20cm deep between 1600-1900m, all aspects in sheltered terrain, likely running on recently buried surface hoar.
