Quick Observation

Lots of new storm snow mixed with warm temps saw a very moist day of skiing in the gorge. Skiing was very sluggish and heavy, not very enjoyable, best skiing of the day was racing down the road side by side in the tire tracks.

Weather

Started with light rain in the morning as we were skinning up, seemed as though we were chasing the freezing level up the mountain. We saw a couple light flurries which quickly turned to a drizzle, but average throughout the day was no precip and no wind. Got up to just under 2100m and never got under 0 degrees

Snowpack

35 degree slope, T-10: -2 degrees, air temp: 0 degrees. 2x CTN. An ensemble of melt freeze crusts and dense snow from 0cm up to 65cm ish, with 8 cm of 1 finger- between MFcr and the 72cm of 4 finger- of very wet new storm snow accumulated over the past 4 or 5 days.
