Quick Observation
Dug a quick pit on the north aspect of dome shoulder to about 120cm depth. Total snow depth of 220cm!!! About 50cm of unconsolidated new snow (dry powder) from recent storm overtop of older firmer snow, but no weak layers that we found. Compression test yielded some collapse in the top 20cm of new storm snow after a few hand to elbow taps but no propagation or slab type failures. Didn't find any instabilities on dome shoulder pitches or 3rd knoll aside from very small sluffs, and snow stayed light until the last 1/4-ish of terminator ❄️❄️
