Cold Day at Hidden Valley

Beautiful but cold day. Observed a natural slide and also significant shooting cracks at tree line. We dug a pit and noted that there was a weak layer at the bottom of the new softer snow (10-15cm). The rest of the snowpack underneath seemed really nice and stable.
