Yanks Peak

We toured into Yanks Peak and were rewarded with sun, awesome views of the Cariboo Mountains, and some elusive untracked pow. We've gained confidence in the snowpack and while we can easily see faceted layers in our snow pits, we've had no significant results in all our snowpack tests. And there's been little wind affect too, in exposed areas 5-10cm loose snow covers older tracks and quickly feels deeper when you get off the trail. Searching for the best riding, we found up to 35cm untracked pow in sheltered meadows below ridgetop.
