Summit Creek area exploration day with a few turns on East facing treed terrain on summit creek hill proper. All Alpine area directly on North side of Gully was extremely wind affected. Any and all aspects away from tree/valley bottom protection, you're dealing severe wind crust. Tons of cross loading. Especially North aspects that are packed concrete hard with fresh/ still forming wind slab from 20-40km/hr south winds today. No shooting cracks observed. Whumpfing in Alpine while walking through and around wind slab, as well as some infrequent whumpfing in treeline terrain where snow remains consolidated. Observed roughly what appeared to be a size 2 Slide on a fully loaded up 40 degree slope further south in that valley behind Summit Creek. Mid day made it to 0 Degrees on the thermometer, while in the sun and protected wind areas it felt WARM. East Aspect Turns on Summit Creek Hill within treeline sub 30 degrees were pretty good. You could tell the wind scoured most of the top section above treeline, but turns were still had with 15-20cm of nice soft stuff atop Jan Crust that was a bit heavy, I would imagine from sun/temp change. Hard enough turns it was evident to feel the Jan 16th crust below.
