Above the snow line at Tunnel Creek

Mixed bag of conditions at Tunnel Creek. Was raining and foggy on the skin in but quickly turned to wet snow and clouds. Turned to drier snow at the hut (1700m). Did a couple of laps on Sunnyside above the hut before a lap on Home Run to get back to the car. On Sunnyside we observed 180-200cm snowpack depth with a 3-5cm crust from the recent rain being buried by the new snow (5cm + when we were leaving). The crust was very supportive and we did not punch through it until the very bottom of Home Run (1450m).
