Went on a recon trip to see how the snow held up during the rain. It wasn’t pretty. Snowpack is completely saturated up to 1100m (and likely higher), although above 900m there is a thin, unsupportive crust. New light density snow seems to be bonding well to this crust, but it made for nightmarish cement skiing. Tree skiing would be almost impossible HS 100cm at 1100m below the Mulligan cut block. Not a soul and lots of lynx tracks made for a wonderful morning. Mamquam FSR has more potholes than normal for the first 3km, and then consists of hard packed ice. Will be dangerous when it freezes.
