Rode back into the Upper Hoback to look at the poor snowpack structure that has been the culprit of numerous avalanches this season in the Wyoming Range. Found reactivity in our snowpit with propagation on the March 20th interface (ECTP14). Snowpack beneath this layer is strong, without much concern for deeper layers. Fairly deep snowpack in this area east of Greyback Ridge. Lots of wind affect, as is typical of this zone. 4-6" of new snow above 8000'. Moderate to strong W winds visibly transporting snow. You could definitely find wind slabs in the middle and upper elevations in exposed terrain, likely around a foot deep.

Wanted to check the snowpack to gauge where exactly you can find poor snowpack structure beneath the March 20th interface in the Wyoming Range.
8300' SWS aspect HS: 225cm ECTP14 down 42cm on Marrch 20th interface failing on .5-1mm facets above a P hard melt freeze crust.
