Meh-mekay

First foray to the Memekay zone this season with good access conditions but marginal sledding. We found up to 10 cm of low density snow on a hard crust that was supportive to sled travel. This snow became moist over the day with temperatures up to 6 °C at 1100 m. The lakes aren't really frozen but we did see a few bold tracks braving the crossing. The area has generally good coverage but will take another 50 cm of snow, roughly, to really come into its own. We saw no signs of avalanches from the recent storm and little reaction from the snowpack as temperatures rose.
