Holy hell did we ever have a good day at summit creek knob today! A calm bluebird day with fresh powder, 10-30cms depending on location with a soft crust underneath made skiing fast and poppy. Strongly solar aspects warmed up and got heavy on by the second lap (15:00). We skied mainly north and east aspects. We mainly stuck to smaller, lower consequence features (with the obvious exception of the higher consequence gully pictured) but did get on some convexities, steeps and unsupported slopes which were all nonreactive (perhaps due to all the wind the knob sees over the course of the year?). Only heard one small whumpf in the flats near the parking lot in the morning.
