Solar radiation

Mild & slightly overcast morning before burning off to reveal the sun for what was sure to be another hot springlike day. Evidence of loose snow & pinwheeling on NW slopes, likely from the day before. No significant signs of instability but stayed bellow Treeline in sheltered terrain and left before the heat of the day. Hard surface crust in area's with lots of solar radiation and avoid the hardened bombs around exposed trees.

Great weekend for working in a goggle tan

Snowpack has been affected by the thaw/freeze cycles. Crusty variable snow depending on exposure. Hard frozen bombs immediately under trees. No signs of instability, only loose snow from the day prior- left before noon
