Quick Observation
Well, we’re back! Out setting up a weather station today, and skier remote triggered a size one avalanche. We’ve got surface hoar on top of the thick melt freeze crust from Nov 7, and this little avalanche ripped! We’ve got the classic North Rockies early season snowpack already, with facets on the ground, a thick crust, surface hoar, gang’s all here! Snow was nuking all day, probably 5 cm of new snow in 2 hours. Let’s goooo!
