Red Heather

Surprisingly good conditions up at Red Heather. Road was graded and in nice shape with the chains on. Knee deep ski pen breaking trail in some places but nice light powder so trail breaking wasn't too hard. -15 at the parking lot but felt warmer up at treeline. A bit of wind on the ridge crest/round mountain but otherwise very little wind. Trees still holding their snow. Sunny aspects best for staying warm! No recent signs of avalanches - even the steep north side of Round peak hadn't slid. Sluff was running fast and heavy though!
