Avalanche Information

Evidence of natural and human triggered avalanche cycle in the Log Cabin gullies from more than 48 hours ago. 7 cm snow on debris. Ran full path in northernmost gully and ran in between gullies. Appeared to be one skier accidental on the convex slope where skiers typically enter the gullies from the “cut line” route.

Weather

Light NE winds throughout the day, temps stayed steady at -14c

Snowpack

In sheltered areas, the upper snowpack consists of 24-45 cms of faceted snow and the early season rain crust was down 60 cm. Areas exposed to the wind had 5 cms of new snow overtop a dense wind slab.
