Quick Observation
super crusty on the way up, road was like 15cm of dense snice, a few open creeks but not enough to make it miserable, just annoying. overgrown roads not ready yet, nor are the slide paths on caspar (our original plan). went deeper to some unnamed peak north of snowspider. at 1700m started getting a decent dust on the crust, and above the 1750m lake to about 2100 where we turned back, north aspects held some nice, dry powder
Avalanche Information
didn't explore up close to see crown depths, etc. but in the alpine, everything seems to have slid. we saw some 3.5s and a bunch smaller than that, most steep areas have popped in the last week. lots of wet loose for the smaller stuff, and a few larger faces had slabs go with some pretty big looking crowns, that we didn't go close to with limited snowpack info or area knowledge (were exploring)
