Shames, Jan. 23

Snowing all day at Shames today. Wind moderate with what felt like gale force gusts at times from top of tee up along ridge to prayer flags 2nd knowl area from the Southish but swirly. Soft slab in lee on steep side PF's, running away from stomped split edge. Small size one, up to 20 cm's thick, propagated out from tip and tail less than a metre each way. Ski cuts on small lee feature just at top edge before Mary's run also made for small soft slab release. Approx. 10 cm's fresh in morning up top in old skin tracks but being blown around a lot. One whumf heard on flats, non treaded on snow, just before getting to T top building coming back from deliverance trees at days end. Down off ridges in trees snow was really nice. Thursday may just be thrilling up there.
