Awesome day riding in the Telkwa Range. We observed two size two natural slab avalanches in steep alpine terrain that were cornice triggered. These avalanches were on southeast and northeast aspects at 1750m. Both avalanches ran on the mid February crust. When getting off our sleds and approaching ridge tops we used our probe to confirm we were standing on solid ground. It was a mild weather day with a mix of sun and clouds with freezing levels rising to 1300m.
