Quick Observation

Great start to the season! In areas skied today, snowpack seems to be setting up nicely. 30cm ski pen with no wind effect felt anywhere. Quick test profile to ground showed no significant results on compression test. HS 130cm. Bottom 80cm was moist snow, rain crust down 50cm seemed to be breaking down with moist snow above and gradually becoming low density on the surface. Thin sun crust developing on steep South aspects. SH on the surface was quite prevalent in most locations.
