Skiied the couloir left of Jimmy Jr Bowl. Powder was approx 2ft deep in the couloir, bomber crust underneath made bootpacking easy and safe. Only concern was sluff control, which turned out to be less of an issue than expected. Observed a 1.5 avalanche at the headwall of the bowl.
Sluffalanche triggered by loose snow falling from the headwall of Jimmy Jr Bowl, picking up more dry powder as it fell. Avalanche buried the area that people normally transition at before skiing the bowl. Good reminder to not spend more time than necessary under the headwall of the bowl. This was the second occurrence that we observed, the previous being Saturday with similar effect.
