Quick Observation

When to fish bowl (via Idiot’s traverse from Snake) for a quick lap this morning around 10h30. We were heading to the sunny side (SE aspect) to hope for some spring skiing but we were surprised to find some dry snow (5-10cm on top of a soft breakable crust) in the middle of the bowl (NNE aspect). We put our skin and hiked a bit and had a good ski down. Conditions were variable (sun and wind affected) as we ski down, aiming for the low angle as much to get the good snow (not affected by the direct sun). Got more crusty towards the bottom. Good snow recovery from the night in general. On the sunny side the soft crust was about 5-10 cm thick and was just starting to soften (around 10h30-11h). No signs of wet loose.
