Early in the day we ski cut a similar Aspect slope (NW) off the summit of Mt. Alpen. The ski cut resulted in a major wommff. We safely navigate it down through trees. On our descent back towards the road we were skiing a Ridgeline and remotely triggered a northwest face of a small ridge just north west of Alpen peak. The small avalanche propagated along the ridge for about 80 m, the crown was 30-80cm. The avalanche appeared to have been triggered on the recent storm layer with wind loading. The slope was unsupported and the snow fell over a cliff quickly dissipating in the low angle slope below. No skiers were injured or involved
