We splitboarded the first dump of snow and so no base was present. If we leaned too far forward we'd scrape the ground or rocks, but leaning back we could float through powder. Main creek was passable, with some running water but could skin on snow bridges.
Weather
clear and sunny all day with some fog rolling in and out around the mountains through the day. wind was calm to none.
Snowpack
Snowpack was powder on top, slowly consolidating into harder snow down to depth hoar with 1mm crystals at ground level. A slight wind layer failed after two elbow strikes, but didn't slide, and the column failed near ground level after 1 should strike, but was resistant to sliding. Incline was 30 degrees
