We were on a fairly wind loaded N aspect at the top of a gully feature, roughly 35-38 degrees. The whole 90cm storm snow sitting on top of the early November crust released sudden planar as we were cutting the back of the column. The crust was angled with the slope, so as soon as any tension uphill was released by cutting it slid immediately on the crust surface. Top 90cm remained in a consolidated block (progressively F—>4F—>1F), so storm snow seems to be gaining some slab qualities as it settles / sees wind.
