Crust on dust

Skinning up Cowboy Ridge to get to Kees and Claire Hut, noticed an avalanche (possibly from a few days ago) across the valley on the east side of Oboe near the valley bottom (melody creek). Just bellow treeline. Didn’t see any ski tracks near it. Looked like a thick slab, the depth of the persistent weak layer in the area. This was viewed from a distance.
