Sunny and warm in Crowsnest

<p>Surface snow was becoming moist this afternoon with warm temperatures and sunny skies. Surface hoar was present at all elevations, larger in sheltered areas. We observed a large slab avalanche on a south aspect in the alpine on a steep, rocky slope that probably released some time yesterday. Suspect a persistent weak layer near the bottom of the snowpack. </p>
