Blackcomb Backcountry

Spent the day in the Blackcomb Backcountry. Rode south facing Cham Chute 3 and north facing Vista Chute, NW face Pattison, and 9th hole Decker. Cham Chute was 10-15cm of low density overtop a hard sun crust. North faces were unconsolidated 20-40cm low density on top of a firm base, no apparent crust. Pockets of wind loading near ridge line and occasionally mid-slope. No signs of reactive wind slabs or other natural avalanche activity. The weather was cold (-10) with a strong wind from the south at times.
