Dolomite Traverse - Don't follow our tracks.

Poor snow conditions on Dolomite traverse. "Whumphing" at multiple aspects and elevations above treeline. Shooting cracks, though on test slopes the slab seemed hard to budge (possibly due to compressive support from below, better test slopes were not easily accessible) . "Soft slab" below treeline but firmer / more wind affected at TL and above. Katherine Lake is not fully frozen, slushy and insulated on Northern side, would go around. Don't follow our skin track in, poor route choice through the trees / ridges!
