We dug a snowpit on an east facing slope above the WT Hut, at 1,892m elevation. Snow depth was 100cm. We tested the snowpack, expecting it to maybe fault at the crust sitting around 10cm deep. Surprisingly, the tower didn't break during our snowpack test. It took 2 people picking it up and dropping it for it to finally break, around 70cm down. Seems to be consolidating well so far.
There was evidence of avalanches on steeper facing south slopes in the valley. In general for this area, it's not filled in enough for skiing, though some good snowshoeing to be had.
