Snowy Range received 24"+ from the last storm cycle. Consistent westerly winds have loaded leeward aspects (N through SE). We probed a couple areas on the west side of Medicine Bow Peak, and total HS ranged from 120cm - 170cm. Collapsing was minimal, however, we observed a few isolated shallow shooting cracks on northerly slopes and pinwheels on easterly slopes.
Avalanche
Observed 2 old slides on the same hill. Guessing they both released during the last storm cycle (2/7). Near treeline (approx. 10,400ft), E/NE aspect. Both R1, D1.
