Quick report
Wind were calm throughout the day and there was no recently formed wind slab in the elevations I traveled (6400' - 8725'), but looking at the higher south facing slopes across Strawberry canyon I could see wind effected snow below the ridgelines. The clouds cleared around 14:00 and solar influence was strong with small roller balls coming off my skis on west aspects by 1430. Visibility was excellent and I did not observe any recent avalanches from the ridge. I dug a test pit at 8725' on a NNW aspect on a 26 degree slope. The HS was 165 and I found a strong upper snowpack without concerning layers in the top 130cm. I had a PST result of 38/100 END on top of the basal facets at 35cm.
