Punch crust party

With the 3/3/2 forecast we decided to see if any of the tree chutes skiers left of the main tracks at Heros Knob had been sheltered enough to hold good safe snow…they had not. A thin hard layer at the base of the storm snow existed practically everywhere. It wasn’t showing any tendency to propagate in hand sheers and aggressive ski cuts, but made for terrible punch crust skiing
