It was -2C and snowing S2 (2cm per hour) at 10am this morning and then temperature rose to +1C by noon and snow switched to drizzle. A very hard, supportive crust from the last rain event makes for a slippery uptrack which got buried by 10cm of 4 finger density snow. Winds were light to moderate from the SE, no slabs developing, just sluffing on the crust. Observed a few size 1 loose snow sluffs on steep aspect and turns we’re also causing snow to slide on the crust. I rode the up track back down since I didn’t want to get on the steep face of the first pump and go for an unintentional ride...
