We skied from 9 am to 1 pm. No signs of recent avalanches observed. Temps ranged from zero to 5 degrees, warmest when the sun came out. We skinned up on a supportive crust. In sheltered areas there was 1 to 2 inches of new snow over the crust. Southerly wind gusting to gale force at the col so we avoided north aspect, fearing wind loading. Precip started around noon, snow getting wetter skiing down. Crust softened making skiing ok.
