Quick Observation

Small day up Chief Pascal today. Did not venture into the alpine. Could see lots of crown lines mostly on steep north facing. Most higher chutes on Chief Pascal had slid within the storm snow. Big slab on Joffrey on what would be the access into Twisting Couloir. Did a pit, north east aspect, 1650 m in the low thirties. Got CTM 12/12 within the storm snow ( down 20cm) and CTM 18/CTH 22 resistant planar on the rain crust ( down 60cm). No major signs as we skinned up or skied the terrain below. "South Side" zone off Vantage Ridge has seen a fair bit of traffic also.
