Sky Pilot Lower

We were able to get to just over the 7km mark on the road with a 4WD truck and chains. Skinned up to 1380m and experienced variable surface conditions. Numerous creek crossings to navigate through on the hiking trail up, some required skis to be taken off. About 25cm of new snow over the crust/ surface hoar combo in open terrain with less snow and a more prominent crust experience under large coniferous trees. Still quite sporty in the main gully access with open creeks and alders to content with. Overall, a beautiful day and little to no winds.
