Quick Observation

Very different riding conditions compared to my day at Log Cabin on the 23rd. All that deep powder is now very wind affected and there is a crust at the surface as soon as you get out of the trees. Starting around 1150m, the snow becomes crusty, hard and almost everything is wind affected. Still alright skiing. The snow lower down in the trees was still very nice, soft and deep. The wind was blowing hard all day and we could see the snow accumulating throughout the day. The red lines in the first photo above show our skin track. Between laps, enough snow had accumulated to hide the skin track almost completely. Nice sunny day!

Weather

Moderate wind coming down log cabin and blowing snow across surface.

Snowpack

Wind affected out of the trees. Deep and soft in the trees.
