Quick Observation
We headed up towards the Salmon Glacier this morning and found around 40 cm of new snow at 1000 m. The new snow felt well bonded to the underlying crust. When the visibility improved we got eyes on some wet loose and storm slabs that released during the storm. The sun was very strong when it came out and we saw numerous loose wet avalanches start to occur as the day warmed.
